Jonny Taitz is a Specialist General Paediatrician in private practice in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Jonny has a successful general paediatric practice looking after children with both complex and simple medical issues. Jonny has an interest in feeding problems in the first year of life, twins and mild-moderate asthma. Jonny is happy to treat babies from birth to teenagers finishing school. Jonny welcomes new referrals from all over Sydney and NSW and is especially proud of the many patients he looks after from rural NSW. Urgent referrals are seen as quickly as possible.
Jonny consults 5 days a week from his rooms in Tower 2, Westfield Bondi Junction providing patients with easy access from the shopping mall with up to 4 hours free parking. Best access directly to Tower 2, enter the car pack via the Grafton st or Junction st entrances (park near lifts by David Jones).
Jonny is a Senior National Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Paediatricians and is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of NSW. Jonny was the Director of Paediatric Patient Safety at the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission and was on the editorial board of the British Medical Journal Quality and Safety for 4 years.
Jonny did his paediatric training at Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town and at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick where he then worked as a Consultant Paediatrician and Assistant Director of Clinical Operations. Jonny was Director of Medical Services at Royal North Shore Hospital and was acting Executive Director of Medical Services for Northern Sydney Local Health District. Jonny was awarded a Harkness Fellowship in quality and safety and spent a year at Harvard Medical School, Boston.
Jonny is the author of two books - the Australian Kids Health Book: The Essential A-Z Guide to Emergencies, Baby Care and Common Childhood Illnesses and the New Zealand Kids Health Book: The Essential A-Z Guide to Emergencies, Baby Care and Common Childhood Illnesses. Jonny has also written the forwards for What to Expect The First Year (2nd and 3rd editions) and What to Expect The Second Year (1st edition).
Jonny has held various board and advisory positions in heath related organisations such as JewishCare, MedEarth, Variety The Children's Charity medical grants committee, SMILE Foundation and Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

Jonny has run 30 marathons and 101 half marathons all over the world and is a massive rugby union and cricket fan. Jonny is married and has a 23 year old daughter and 20 year old son.
Jonny has made guest appearances as Doctor Jonny in four Wiggles DVD’s.
